Premosys GmbH constructing new technical center in Kalenborn-Scheuern

Premosys GmbH, represented by the contractor and CEO Matthias Kuhl, broke ground at around 3:00 pm for the new technical center. Numerous guests from regional political and economic entities, the municipal council as well as other invited guests were also in attendance. With the new technical center Premosys GmbH marks the move of the company with their research and development department, production and administration to Kalenborn-Scheuern.

The project is being supported as part of the Investment in Growth and Employment (IWB) by the European Fund for Regional Development (EFRE). The idea is to create the prerequisites for growing the company and providing additional jobs in the region.

The futuristic design will encompass two stories and should be completed in approximately 10 months. The strict requirements of a high-tech research facility had to be taken into account for the entire building. Special emphasis was placed on sustainable, environmentally friendly construction, and as a KfW-Efficiency House 55 the center requires 45% less primary energy per year than comparable new constructions. A 600 m2 photovoltaic system contributes to the energy supply, along with a 20 kW energy storage system so that needed power doesn’t have to be drawn from the grid at night either. A heat pump is being installed which uses geothermal heat, also efficient LED lighting with presence sensing, everything trimmed to the lowest possible energy consumption. A barrier-free structure with elevator will result to provide access to handicapped persons as well. In all of this Premosys sets the bar in the field of industrial construction, and the building will also offer a long-term outlook for all employees.
